Thanks for registering! Comments:From SafetyMan - 8/21/08 11:00 AM From orion1971 - 2/29/08 4:06 PM We have tried to apply a user only GPO into a certain OU. Within this OU has Security groups in which the users in these groups belong to other OU's. The policy was applied to the security groups within the OU the GPO was in. For some reason none of the users in that group would have the policies applied to them. It is Windows 2003, using Citrix 4.5. Thanks.

Summary (2008-08-20):
Problem: could not get the Internet Explorer options to show up under
the local group policy. They would not show up underneath the computer configuration and they would not appear underneath the User Configuration.
TroubleShooting:Loretta and I attempted to secure (tighten down) the older Gonzales cbt lab computers
(So that they would be similar to the DELL computers we purchased in December of 2007). No
Matter what we tried to get these internet Explorer options to appear on the demo computer
(and for that fact any other computer which had the original Gonzales configuration on them)
we could not get the job done.
So in the end, I used another computer and I took the gateway window XP CD. Deleted all the partitions on the drive and then Re-installed windows XP (the disk was SP2 /service pack2). After all was completed, I loaded the Drivers onto the computer using the Gateway E2300 CD(to note: I also placed this CD on the harddrive).
